Web Articles & Blogs: PoolSpaOutdoor.com
As the editor of PoolSpaOutdoor.com Sept. 2010–July 2014 (and the editor of Pool & Spa Outdoor magazine Nov. 2008–Sept. 2012), I wrote articles, published blogs, updated landing pages, and managed social media accounts along with an associate editor on a small editorial team.
I wrote blogs centered around new products and beautiful photography, which performed well on social media, as well as expert Q&As, which showcased our client’s work and expertise. In addition, I updated and posted several feature articles that I wrote for the magazine in a more web-friendly, SEO-optimized format for the blog.
Michael Phelps and Master Spas
One of my favorite projects was a collaboration with manufacturer Master Spas and the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps, to promote the “Michael Phelps Signature Swim Spas by Master Spas” series. With the hype around Phelps leading up to the 2012 Olympics in London, the article and several blogs I wrote on this collaboration became some of the highest viewed content on the website.
I worked with Master Spas again on Hot Tub & Swim Spas Central, a short editorial piece for Luxury Pools Fall 2016 issue.

Drupal Blogs and Expert Q&A’s: LuxuryPools.com
During my role as a web editor/writer for LuxuryPools.com (Sept 2010–July 2014), I wrote many blogs, including expert Q&As that showcased our clients’ work and expertise. In addition, I updated a number of feature articles that I wrote for the magazine in a more web-friendly, SEO-optimized format for our blog.
In preparation for the website’s redesign to a responsive platform on Drupal (the website relaunched May 2014), I updated and reformatted all of our preexisting blogs, optimizing each one for SEO. I enhanced and/or rewrote headlines, image filenames, and URLs to be more keyword-focused. I also added subheads throughout each blog to make the content easier to scan and more reader-friendly.
